On behalf of the WMO African Chapter, we would like to take this opportunity to wish one and all a blessed month of Ramadhaan.
WMO is an organization that strives to assist many of our Memon brothers and sisters who are not as fortunate to enjoy the celebration of this blessed month. In addition to this we have embarked on various projects to extend the generosity of our members to underprivileged communities.
Our appeal to you is to contribute a substantial part of your Zakaah to WMO African Chapter so that we may continue offering our assistance to these people in need.
Algamdoeliellah, with your dedicated support over the years we have been able to sustain our projects which has grown tremendously.
ABOUT WMO
The World Memon Organization [WMO] was established as an international umbrella organization to co-ordinate the resources of WMO and address the needs of the poor and the needy members of the community worldwide – serving humanity through its seven chapters in Pakistan, India, Far East, Middle East Africa, Europe and North America. WMO Africa has thus far donated R500 000 for disaster relief in Somalia. Historically, contributions have been sent from Southern Africa to WMO for funding many disaster relief projects [floods etc] in various countries eg: Pakistan and elsewhere in the world. We will be focussing more on the needs of our Muslim brothers and sisters on our continent in the future with support from WMO globally.

- Partnership with The Islamic Medical Association Of South Africa [Gauteng Branch] – funding of renal dialysis patients and other health care programs.
- Support offered towards the orphanage of Kaalfontein [Midrand], widows and the destitute.
- Bursaries for secondary & tertiary education and university (through our Apex Body Memon Association Of South Africa).
- Feeding Schemes (Cape Town Association spending almost R300 000 this year).
- Jama’atun Nisaa (Apex Body Of WMO) – KZN Branch – Welfare & Empowerment projects, Educational & Secular, Health & Body Care, Spiritual & Personal Development Through Deen Programmes
